Liberal logic. In a bizarre 2020 Facebook post, Markowitz talked about how her Dad decided to retire because of the Covid lockdowns on the oil industry. Despite stating the energy industry is “essential to our economic growth” in Texas, Markowitz stated that “We must be measured in our response to reopening.” So, her dad retires early because the industry is in shock due to lockdowns and Markowitz’s response is don’t open up? Markowitz has also stated separately that we need to “diminish the use of fossil fuels.”

The mother only called for the book to be moved somewhere that requires parental supervision, but Markowitz thinks that’s “censorship” and a “slippery slope.” Markowitz, who has no children, wants to use your tax dollars to give children books about how to perform oral sex and get sodomized
